Buy the Toshiba HD-A2 HD-DVD Player for $296.99 (reg. $399.99). The format war is still up in the air but the HD DVD players have been the first to fall into a reasonable price range. After watching the HD DVD Planet Earth set, I can genuinely say standard definition is dead to me. Most big movies are released on both formats. The only movie you might miss out on is Spider-man 3 (vile).
