Rishi Tea is a staple artisan tea. Rishi is known for importing the high standard of award winning teas from organically cultivated Asian gardens with Fair Trade Standards. Joshua Kaiser founded the company to bring the joy of traditional handcrafted teas to North American consumers. Rishi provided several artisan with the funds necessary to continue their ancient manufacturing practices. The company has developed a strong network in Japan, Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, and many others. Rishi Tea was the first to receive USDA organic.
In 2008, Rishi was the winner of seven First place awards for best tea. Here are some of the award winning teas: Silver Needle Premium, Sencha,Jasmine Pearl, Earl Grey, and China Breakfast.
