The Panasonic lined up the DMC-LX5 as the successor to the LX3. Several improvements have been crow-barred with this new model, including a new lens, battery, and sensor. This model has been equipped with an extended onboard zoom, 3.8x, f2.0 24mm wide-angle Summicron lens, HD videos in AVCHD Lite, 10.1MP CCD sensor, 3-inch LCD, and aspect ratio switch on the top of the barrel.
