It can manage multiple computers and hold all your digital media. You can centralize your iTunes music libraries so all your computers have access. The server supports both PC and Mac. The HP Media Collector schedules backups and centralizes all your digital files. The server can also automatically upload photos to Facebook, Picasa, Snapfish, or Flickr.
The server has four drive bays and comes with one 750GB drive. It has a maximum capacity of 9 TB. It features four USB 2.0 ports and one eSata port. The built-in sleepmode means the server will on use 1W of power while in hibernation. The HP EX485 is economical. The server can also restore hard drives in the event of a PC failure.
The server has an Intel Celeron 2GHZ 64 bit processor, 2GB of DDR2 800MHz Ram, Gigabit ethernet, and internal power supply.
