Amazon just super-sized their e-book reader. The Kindle DX’s screen is about the size of a hardback book. The DX offers a more pleasant reading experience. Almost all Tom Clancy novels are currently on special. The American author is a master of military and espionage storylines with an emphasis on authenticity and realism. His novels are mainstays on the New York Times bestseller list. Jack Ryan remains one of my favorite fictional characters.
Clancy has perfected nail-biting suspense, which has converted legions of readers into diehard fans. Our favorite Clancy novels are The Hunt for Red October, Rainbow Six, and Clear and Present Danger. President Reagan propelled Clancy into the mainstream after praising The Hung for Red October as “unputdown-able.” Clear and Present Danger is the bestselling novel of the 1980s, and it has sold over two million in the first printing.
