Amazon is selling the Sony Cybershot DSC-T100 for $382.87 (reg. $399.99). The DSC-T100 is the most stunning digital camera on the market. The black, brushed metal makes a dramatic fashion statement. The signature sliding lens and slim profile reiterates Sony strong grasp on industrial design. The camera style offers several functions, which leads me to believe style did not completely overcome substance. The 3-inch screen displays your images with vivid colors and with a 180-degree viewing angle. The camera borrows several high-end SLR features like 9-point autofocus mode. The 35mm-to-175mm-equivalent 5x zoom Zeiss lens transforms this shiny 8-megapixel camera into a heavy hitter. Super SteadyShot optical image stabilization boosts sensitivity to as high as ISO 3,200. The camera simply takes great pictures. It also captures movies at 640×480 30fps MPEG-4. The camera offers the ability to output slidedeshows with MP3 onto your TV. Combine this camera with the MemoryStick deal below.

Buy the Canon PowerShot SD1000 7.1MP Digital Elph Camera for $216.22 (reg. $349.99). The SD1000 has been positioned as the successor to the wildly popular SD600. Canon kept the the controls layout untouched, while bumping the megapixels up to 7.1. Visually the camera displays a sleeker design, which represents a throwback to the original landmark Canon Elph camera.. The Digic III processor enables longer battery life, autofocus, faster startup, and shutter response. Cnet reviewed the Powershot SD1000 as being a top-notch camera with face detection, red-eye reduction (in playback mode), and lets the SD1000 reach further heights of sensitivity.

The "High Speed Shutter Mode" is a feature pro users will adore. Samsung does not include image stabilization, which makes it tough to use in low light for amateur photographers. The camera is the same size as the Canon EOS 20D and includes a three focus ring Schneider lens. The 15X optical zoom goes form the incredibly wide 28mm to an astonishing 428mm.
